Carmichael are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to oversee multiple projects simultaneously from Preston to Stoke. The ideal candidate will have experience within the utility sector.
This post falls inside IR35. Rates advertised are an indication and are negotiable, offers will depend on experience. Candidates seeking perm opportunities are also requested to apply.
Duties for this post include –
- Management of projects whilst reporting to the Commercial Manager
- Work closely with project operational teams providing commercial support throughout the project lifecycle for individual projects or batches.
- Continuously collaborating with the project delivery team and Design Consultants to ensure all costs are covered
- Managing all aspects of the contract administration and documentation
- Producing cost reports, managing the budget, creating forecasts and estimates.
- Managing subcontractor appointments
Requirements for this post include –
- Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying is preferred
- Extensive experience working for a tier one contractor managing several projects simultaneously
- Competent in the use of NEC and commercially astute
- Proven management and communication skills
- Committed and accountable
- Driver licence and CSCS required
- Preferably RICS Registered
