An opportunity exists for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead on the remeasuring the works in accordance with a given subcontract. Skilled in the taking off of quantities and the updating of the BOQs, you will predominantly focus providing a remeasured Subcontractor Bill of Quantities based on the as-built condition.
Predominant duties include –
- Taking off of quants from drawings in accordance with CESMM
- Remeasuring of the scope of works
- Checking subcontractor quantities
- Checking BOQ and updating accordingly
Everyday duties will include - the management of subcontracts and of project insurances and notification of claims - Sub-contract Enquiries - Tender Appraisal - Sub-contract negotiation - Project Evaluation – Measurement of the Works - Sub-contract Management – commercial risk and opportunity management, preparation and agreement of Applications and progress reporting
Requirements for this opportunity include –
- Must be proficient in taking off quants and have done so recently
- Must be proficient in updating BOQ
- Must have solid knowledge of NEC contracts and CESMM
- Must have worked on large civil engineering projects for tier one or principal Contractors
- Must have management subcontractor accounts and quantities
- Must have the right to work in the UK and have worked on UK projects
- Preferably qualified to ICES or RICS accreditation and Relevant CSCS Card
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel
