Long-term opportunities exist for Commercial staff on a large rail project. Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Leads with tier one/principal contractor experience on projects that include the design, track, OLE, signalling, refurbishment and extension of platforms, laying of new track, drainage, improving and upgrading of over and underpasses, electrification and signalling using the NEC suite of contracts are sought after.
This post falls inside IR35. Rates advertised are an indication only.
Offers will be based on experience.
Duties will include the following –
- Subcontractor evaluations and appointments
- Managing the budget and forecasting
- Measurements and final accounts
- Reconciling work done
- Cost reports and risk management
Requirements for this post include –
- Extensive experience as a stand-alone Quantity Surveyor for a tier one/principal contractor preferably within the rail sector
- Proven experience within the NEC form of contract
- Commercially aware and astute
- Quantity Surveying qualification preferable
- RICS registered would be advantageous
