One of the largest land and engineering surveying company in the UK, is looking for Rail Surveyors to join their Rail and Survey Department in London.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading and successfully delivering the survey works on complex projects
- Effectively manage multiple survey teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality (Geospatial Certainty)
- Has a strong rounded knowledge of all stages of the project, from planning, site works, data processing, QA and delivery.
- As the project lead, show exceptional levels of communication
- Keeps abreast on new technology in the industry, working with the department managers to test and innovate to improve workflows and deliverables
- Provides support and training to less experienced team members. Involved in developing training material for the department development system
- Assist Heads of Department/PM’s in preparing and reviewing project documentation
- Ensuring all team members understand the importance and comply with the company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management system
- Shows commercial and financial awareness of project delivery, project issues
- Assist project estimators with estimating and pricing works
- Supports the marketing of the department by collecting marketing material from relevant sites
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a surveyor (proving competency
- Relevant degree qualification
- High level of spoken and written English
- UK Driver’s License
- Able to travel and work nationwide
