Carmichael UK is working in partnership with a leading Tier 1 contractor to recruit a Senior Site Engineer for a major wastewater treatment works programme at Rugby STW, Warwickshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term framework delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for technical delivery, setting out, quality assurance, and the management of engineering activities across complex civil engineering packages.

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain primary site control and oversee setting out activities.
- Deliver engineering support for concrete structures, deep drainage, earthworks and pipeline installations.
- Supervise and mentor Site Engineers and oversee subcontractor activities on site.
- Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
- Manage quality processes including ITPs, MARs, quality check sheets and as-built records.
- Review technical drawings and identify design clashes, raising RFIs where required.
- Support temporary works activities including excavations, shoring and formwork operations.
- Ensure RAMS are implemented and adhered to across all site activities.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer within major civil engineering projects.
- Previous water or wastewater infrastructure experience is highly desirable.
- Strong setting out capability using robotic total stations and GPS equipment.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings and managing technical documentation.
- Competent in CAD software and as-built data management.
- HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- SMSTS or SSSTS preferred.
- Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS) or Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) experience advantageous.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Rugby.
