We are recruiting for an amazing opportunity for a committed and dedicated Setting Out Engineer/ Engineering Surveyor for one of the most exciting infrastructure projects in the UK. Hinkley Point C will be the first nuclear energy plant built in the UK for over 30 years and you could be part of the team which deliver this innovative energy project. Working on this project will not only gain you valuable skills and experience, but you will enhance your future career prospects by having worked on this project.
The works involved which you will be working on will include civil & structural engineering works and heavy RC construction works. You will be joining a highly skilled project team in which you will learn new skills and utilise your existing engineering abilities. 
The project is being managed by two top tier contractors who are working in partnership so this is a prime opportunity for you to work with two established international companies who span multiple sectors including rail, power, water, building and natural resources. Not only are they working on this prestigious project but also have a number of projects throughout the UK which will also give you scope for progression.
For this position, your key responsibilities and duties will include:
 
  • Compiling method statements and risk analysis
  • setting out 
  • Interpreting and implementing of the construction process and procedure
  • Ensuring the works are constructed according to the design and specifications
  • Solving technical issues with engineering solutions
  • Planning of the works 
  • Quality control of heavy reinforced concrete structures and concrete batching
  • Permit clearances, RFIs, daily records, etc.
  • As built surveys
  • Health and Safety compliance

 Requirements for this post include

  • Land/ Egineering Surveying or Civil Engineering degree or diploma
  • Solid continuous delivery experience within Civils and Heavy Civils and Infrastructure Projects
  • CSCS
