A freelance opportunity exists for a concrete Setting out Engineer on a large heavy reinforced concrete project. Previous setting out in confined spaces on heavy industrial projects like power stations, ports, treatment plants or industrial factories is sought after.
Duties will include –
- Accurately surveying and Setting out of the works.
- Interpreting the drawings and rebar schedules
- Ensuring H&S and QA
- Compiling as-builts
- Interaction with client and principal contractor
Requirements include –
- Previous continuous experience on heavy reinforced concrete structures
- Capable of reading complex drawings and bending schedules.
- A good understanding of the construction process
- A surveying or civil engineering qualification
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Good interpersonal skills
- Willing to work 12-hour shifts on 10 days/4off/10 nights/4off rota
- CSCS, first Aid
