A freelance/perm opportunity exists on a tunneling/shaft sinking project for an experienced Shift Manager/Senior Engineer/Sub Agent to manage the activities of a specialist contractor sinking the shafts. Civil Engineers with a long history specialising in underground works including shaft sinking, tunneling, mining, underground drill and blast operations etc are sought after.
Your duties will include –
- Record all shift activities
- Tend to all technical queries
- Completing shift reports and submit for authorisation
- Overseeing and implementing RAMS
- Planning of the works
- Ensuring health and safety
Requirements for this post include
- Previous experience in a similar post
- Must have previous continuous tunneling or shaft sinking experience
- A civil engineering or mining qualification is preferable
- Proven management skills
- Prepared to work on a 7-4-7-3 roster on 12 hours shifts
