A freelance/perm opportunity exists on a tunneling project for an experienced Shift Manager/Engineer to oversee the activities of a specialist contractor sinking the shaft. Shift Managers with Site Engineering background on underground projects are sought after.
Your duties will include –
- Tending to all technical queries
- Completing shift reports
- Overseeing and implementing RAMS
- Planning of the works
- Ensuring health and safety
- Reporting to Project Manager
Requirements for this post include
- Previous experience in a similar post
- Previous recent tunneling or shaft sinking experience
- An engineering qualification
- Proven management skills
- Prepared to work on a 7-3-7-4 roster on 12 hours shifts
This is an excellent opportunity to be involved on an iconic project for at least 6 months.
