I have a requirement for a PTS Site Engineer to work on a Rail project in Scotland between Aberdeen and Inverness.  This is a contract position and there could be ongoing work for the right person.  The project consists of station upgrade, station new build and new track.

Subsistence will be paid for those lodging away!

 

Main Duties:

  • Deliver the project plan, and provide engineering review of the method statements and risk assessments proposed for the work
  • Setting Out
  • Level surveys for upcoming work
  • checking and preparing setting out site reports (QA Checks) , sketches and as built drawing
  • Produce engineering processes; RAMS/WPP’s/NCR’s/ etc
  • Ensure any remedial work is carried out on site are carried out in accordance with Rail Industry standard maintenance procedures.
  • Ensuring site safety

 Essential Experience:

  • Valid PTS
  • Must be competent at setting out
  • Ideally you have trainline upgrade experience such as platform extensions, track modifications and signalling
  • Ideally have worked on a Network Rail project
  • Ideally you have station upgrade experience
  • Computer literate
  • CSCS
  • Must be competent at setting out
  • Be able to work well under pressure for extended periods of time.
