Specialist Contractor seeks to employ a freelance Site Agent to deliver a structural steel refurbishment project in Glasgow. Previous experience in and knowledge of the refurbishment of large steel structures like bridges is sought after.
Duties will include –
- Develop programmes and forecast to deliver a safe project.
- Manage the supply chain effectively.
- Manage and task the Engineering team.
- Conduct weekly progress meeting and report thereon.
- Manage all resources.
- Complete RAMS, ITP and QA documentation.
- Attend/Chair client and Consultant meetings.
- Keep accurate records including variations, subcontractors etc.
Requirements for this project include –
- A Civil Engineering qualification.
- Extensive recent heavy structural steel construction/refurbishment experience.
- Proven previous principal contractor experience.
- Other training like TWC or AP lifts will advantageous.
- Knowledge of BS 1090, NHSS 19A and ISO3834 advantageous.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid.
