CarmichaelUK are looking for an experienced Site Agent to work with one of our tier 1 clients as part of an alliance providing support to UKPN. Based out of a site office in Uckfield, East Sussex the alliance is delivering a £1bn program in the 2016-2023 ED1 regulatory period. Our client has been appointed to undertake cable and electrical infrastructure projects across the Southern and Eastern power networks. We are looking for someone to start ASAP running through until the end of the year, at which point there will be the option to go from temp to perm.
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Project Manager and wider Kier team
- Ensuring the highest standards of HSEQ are adhered to
- Ensuring people are put to work in line with UKPN HSS 01 015 under a Person in Charge of Safety
- Managing the compilation, checking and issuing of safety documents and ITPs
- Coordination of site activities
- Ensuring plant and equipment is inspected and maintained
- Management of Foreman, Supervisors, Site Admins and Subcontractors
We are looking for someone who has:
- An HNC or higher in civil engineering or related subject
- CSCS
- SMSTS
- IOSH/NEBOSH
- EUSR
- UKPN Substation Entry Competence (not essential)
- Driving license
