Our client, a well known civil engineering contractor, is seeking a Site Agent to work on a large infrastructure project in the Buckinghamshire area. This role is a long term PAYE contract.
Job Description:
Overall management of section to ensure HS&E compliance & Performance, Quality Control & Assurance in place for the works to be built according to design & specification. Ensuring resources are in place for efficient operations. Ensure programme is implemented and measured against. Contribute to cost performance of the section.
Positive contribution to overall performance is a prerequisite – this will include necessary auxiliary functions within the team as allocated to fulfil the wider scope of HS&E, QA/QC, Programme management & cost management.

- Actively manage CDM & Network Rail documentation requirements to enable works in section (WPP, TBS, PTD, TW)
- Conduct regular inspections
- Ensure quality control is in place and actively managed through the Senior Engineer
- Inspection & Test plans, Inspection Test Sheets
- Testing and materials planning
- Programme & Progress
- Plan, control & monitor progress of works
- Preparation of a 4 week lookahead programme for section
- Daily monitoring of outputs and maintaining output trackers
- Understanding and alignment of Clause 32 programme
- Technical
- Ensure teams are working to latest design & specifications
- Resolve technical issues with client.

- Materials takeoff, ordering, delivery & reconciliation
- Labour reconciliation against cost plan
- Plant reconciliation against cost plan
- Commercial
- Contribute to cost plan
- Know scope of work, identify change and notify
- Meetings
- Attend external meetings as required
- Contribute to internal weekly progress meetings
- Reporting
- Compile daily shift report
- Ensure engineer reports are done & challenge where appropriate
- Review allocation sheets and challenge where appropriate
Requirements:
- HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Site Agent
- Must have experiences of working on either Structures, Highways, Utilities or Earthworks
- Good team skills
