An inside IR35 opportunity exists for Agents with experience in the utilities/infrastructure sector. Experience within the water industry as the Principal Contractor is preferred however candidates with similar civil engineering experience like heavy civil structures, large pipeline, shafts sinking etc. will also be considered.
Duties will include –
- Leading the site team by driving a positive SHEQ culture and promoting improvement initiatives.
- Identifying site delivery resource requirements by liaising with the Project Manager on resource and support requirements in a timely manner
- Report project and services performance SHEQ, Time and Cost, monthly to allow portfolio performance reviews to be held
- Manage planning & programming, RAMS, Temporary works, subcontractors, Lifts etc.
- Identify blockers/issues and ensure that a solution is developed to resolve and immediately escalate where out of your area of control or influence.
- Work in close collaboration with colleague’s, teams and clients forming supportive and positive, open relationships.
- Achieving efficient handover of projects on completion.
- Stakeholder management both internal and external.
- Ensure statutory approvals are being obtained.
- Contributing to the monthly forecasting of costs
Requirements for this job include –
- Previous experience in a similar Site Agent delivery role for a Principal Contractor managing medium to large projects.
- HNC/HND or degree in civil engineering
- SMSTS, CSCS and first aid
- EUSR Water Hygiene, Temporary Works Coordinator, Lifting Appointed Person, Confined Space Working accreditations preferred or willingness to undertake training once in role.
