An immediate start opportunity, outside IR35, exists for a Site Agents with experience in the water and/or infrastructure project delivery environment for tier one / principal contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of either a large single project or multiple smaller schemes, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, programme delivery and subcontract management.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders, clients, and supply chain partners, encouraging collaboration and teamwork.
- Take accountability for the full lifecycle of maintenance projects – including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
- Oversee compliance with site-specific documents and safe systems of work.
- Manage the project look-ahead programme, change control, and subcontractor performance.
- Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring 100% compliance with SHEQ requirements and framework plans.
- Identify and mitigate risks early, proactively resolving blockers to maintain progress.
- Provide accurate and reliable reporting on project performance, including time, cost, and SHEQ metrics.
- Contribute to monthly forecasting of cost and programme outcomes.
- Ensure all necessary statutory approvals are secured.
- Lead, motivate, and coordinate site teams and resources effectively.
Requirements -
- Solid background in Construction Management and CDM, ideally as a Principal Contractor.
- Proven experience delivering water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Strong leadership, project management, and people management skills.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to manage scope, contracts, and subcontractors effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Track record of delivering projects safely, on time, and to budget.
- Ability to prioritise, adapt quickly to change, and deliver results under pressure.
Qualifications & Training
- Previous experience in the water industry in a Site Agent/project delivery role.
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
- CITB SMSTS and First Aid certification.
- Desirable (or willingness to train): EUSR Water Hygiene, TWC, Lift AP, Confined Spaces.
PS - Candidates must complete an IR35 assessment to qualify for outside IR35 payments.
