A perm opportunity exists for an experience career Highways Agent on a major highways infrastructure project. Previous experience working for a tier one, principal Contractor on highways scheme, preferable for Highways England, is sought after. Emphasis will be placed on junction remodelling, retaining walls, dualling of A routes and Traffic Management.
Duties will include –
- Managing and providing leadership to the Engineering team
- Ensure that H&S, Quality and Environmental issues are managed
- Set targets and KPI’s in line with key outputs and monitors performance
- Chair weekly team meetings to review performance on site
- Chair weekly cost meetings and identify improvement areas and allocate appropriate actions to team members
- Prepare a cost plan and manage cost v value
- Involved in the procurement of subcontractors
- Produce the risk schedule
Requirements for this opportunity include –
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineer or similar, CSCS, SMSTS
- Professional accreditation or working toward it
- A career highways Engineer with extensive highways construction experience for tier one or principal Contractors.
- Highly knowledgeable on the NEC and commercially astute
- Proven management and leadership skills couple with a strong work ethic
