We have the pleasure to recruit for an experienced Agent for a major rail project in Wales.
This role is based in South Wales as part of the Core Valley line transformation project.
This will be a great opportunity to jump on board at enabling stage of a long term project
As an Agent for this scope of works, your duties will include:
- Strong ability to manage a construction site. This includes all construction-related activities, safety, and quality aspects of the works.
- Considerable experience in managing major external works packages, preferably in a railway station construction site or similar safety-conscious environment.
- A good awareness of construction methods plant and equipment installation, and site investigations
- Experience of operating in a multi-contractor site environment.
- Experience of commissioning and handover of infrastructure assets for operational use and effective construction phasing.
- Experience of working in complex project management, safety focused and regulated organisation, where there are multiple, complex interfaces and delivering to time, budget and quality.
You will also need to demonstrate the following:
- Have previously worked within the rail and civils sectors
- Previously worked as an Agent (preferably with a main contractor)
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of quality assurance, writing method statements, and risk assessments
- Hold a construction-related degree or HNC
- Hold a valid CSCS Card, SMSTS and PTS
