Large main contractor requires an experienced Site Engineer for a large earthworks project near Bluewater in Kent. Working within the site operational team, the Site Engineer will be involved with all earthworks, from using machine control to set out and survey for earthworks including cut/fill and volumes. The project is huge – over 6million cubic metres of earth to be moved. The role could extend up to four years, with ongoing infrastructure once the earthworks is completed.
The Site Engineer will be tasked with:
- Using Leica GPS and machine control to monitor the earthwork volumes
- Management of various sub contractors on site – earthworks sub-contractors, heavy plant and machinery
- Be able to produce as built information
- Quality Assurance reports
To be successful in the role
- You will have previously worked for a major contractor on an earthworks project
- Be experienced with Land Surveying, Setting Out and Site Engineering
- Competent with Leica GPS
- Valid CSCS card
- Appropriate Right to Work
- Be qualified up to degree or diploma in Civil Engineering
- Have CSCS.
