We have an excellent opportunity to recruit freelance Site Engineers to work on a major upgrade on the M4 Smart motorway.
This is mainly a highways and structures project and that is the sort of experience preferred for this role. Previous experience on Smart Motorways is very desirable
Your key responsibilities and duties will include:
- General setting out and monitoring of works on site
- Read and review construction plans and undertake basic take-offs
- Raise technical queries (RFI’s) with designers and other members of project team
- Ensuring quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance to specification
- Meeting and the delivery of work to deadline
- Providing detailed technical input and coordination of information
- Ensure and promote a Safe Working Practice
We believe that this is an ideal freelance opportunity for the right candidate to join a principal contractor for an on-going contract on a major civil engineering project.
The successful candidate will also need to have the following requirements:
- Have previously worked as a Site or Setting Out Engineer
- Have previous experience in working on a highways project either on the roads or structures team
- Hold a valid CSCS card
- BSc or BEng level qualification in Civil Engineering allied subject or HNC/ HND or the equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word & Excel
