I have an urgent requirement for a freelance roads site engineer on section 4 of the A14. The A14 improvement scheme is the UK’s largest road projects worth £1.5bn. The scheme includes both new highway construction and the widening and improvement of existing highways. Contracted by Highways England to deliver the A14 Cambridge to Huntingdon improvement scheme.
Approx. 3 months work available, this could potentially be extended for the right candidate.
The Site Engineer will be responsible for:

Setting out for earthworks and road works

Keeping daily records of site activities

Managing sub contractors
-
Setting out of roads and structural elements
-
Liaising with the project team to ensure safe, timely delivery of a quality project
The ideal candidate will have the following;

Competent at setting out with proven track record from a similar role
-
A Degree, Bachelors, MSc or HND in Civil Engineering
-
Experience working for a main contractor
-
Highways / major road experience essential
-
CSCS qualification
Knowledge and experience of Highways standards and procedures
