An exciting opportunity has come up for a Site Engineer to join a highly regarded contractor on a highways upgrade job in the Reading to West London Route. This is your opportunity to further develop your career with completing works on a high profile project with one of the UK's largest civil construction companies. 
 
The ideal candidate will have considerable experience on Major Road/ Highway projects including:
Extensive experience in drainage, Slipform, VCB, Safety barrier, Street Furniture, Signage, Pavements and White Lining. It will be desirable if you have a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification. You will have strong interpersonal skills as a key objective will be mentoring junior graduate and engineers in this role. You will have a proven track record on large scale or major highway and motor way schemes.
 
Duties will include: 
 
  • Ensuring the works are constructed according to the design and specifications 
  • Ability to set out to high degree using GPS and Total Station
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance
  • Monitoring and management of the nominated subcontractors 
  • Quality control in accordance to the specifications 
  • Compiling of Method Statements 
  • Produce accurate daily diaries
  • Permit clearances, daily records
 
Requirements;
 
  • HND or Degree in Civil Engineering 
  • Extensive experience as Section Engineer/Senior Engineer on Civil engineering projects 
  • Experience on highways or major roads 
  • CSCS 
  • SMSTS and First Aid 
  • A UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
