CarmichaelUK are looking for a Site Engineer to join a leading contractor to join HS2 Enabling works. This project will include Groundworks, resurfacing - black top, bulk earthworks, drainage, kerbing, services, localising carriageways, highways works, compound establishments.
As a Site Engineer you will:
Set out
Produce method statements and risk assessments and undertake periodic reviews
Coach junior engineers in the use of setting out techniques
Produce activity control plans / inspection and test plans and obtain approvals
Produce a weekly programme and measure progress against KPI's
Maintain accurate diaries, including dialogue with external organisations (subcontractors) Who we're looking for
Be able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately
Be capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes with clarity
Have a strong work ethic with flexibility to work
Be able to work on your own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility
Hold a current driving license and CSCS Card and be SSSTS or SMSTS
