Our client are a reputable and firmly established, national rail and civil engineering contractor.
Operating most notably in rail, they also work on environment agency projects and are branching into other civil engineering projects
They require a Site Engineer to work on some Network Rail projects across the Berkshire / Wilshire area.

The typical type of works will include the following:

  • Platform extensions, platform gauging, Asset management, station refurbishments, station improvements, embankment repairs, retaining walls, drainage, bridges, bridge deck replacements, structural repairs, footbridges

What can you bring to this role?

  • A professional qualification in Civil Engineering: HNC, HND, BSc, BEng
  • PTS, SSSTS or SMSTS, CSCS
  • Having experience on not just the site operations but also the commercial elements to the project will be key

The Role

The Site Engineer is responsible for providing engineering control and supervision of work packages to support the delivery of wider projects, while being commercially aware and maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality, social, environmental control. They will deliver work packages, to the specified quality, the required programme and to the highest standards of safety. The post-holder will work closely with Site Agents, Foreman, other Engineers and Surveyors to ensure that work packages are completed in a safe manner whilst customer requirements and expectations are always maintained or exceeded.
