An opportunity exists for a freelance Site Engineer experienced in the setting out and overseeing of heavy reinforced civil structures like bridges, retaining walls, culverts, reservoirs etc.
Site Engineer duties will include:
- Setting out and compiling the as built surveys
- Interpreting the construction drawings including re-bar schedules
- Ensuring the works are constructed according to the design and specifications.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Collaborate with the Site Manager and Foremen
- Enforce company Health and Safety standards and ensure Quality.
Requirements for a Site Engineer:
- HND/HNC/BSc in Civil Engineering
- Experience on large industrial/civil projects like power stations, factories, treatment pants, bridges, energy from waste etc advantageous
- Competent in setting out of shutters, rebar and the structure.
- CSCS card, First Aid
- Highways England Safety Critical Medical is essential.
