An exciting opportunity has come up for a Site Engineer to join a highly regarded contractor on a highways project based in Southampton. This is your opportunity to further develop your career with completing works on a high profile project with one of the UK's largest civil construction companies.
The ideal candidate will have considerable experience on Major Road/ Highway projects including:
Extensive experience in drainage, Slipform, VCB, Safety barrier, Street Furniture, Signage, Pavements, and White Lining. It will be desirable if you have a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent qualification. You will have strong interpersonal skills as a key objective will be mentoring junior graduates and engineers in this role. You will have a proven track record on large-scale or major highway and motorway schemes.
Duties will include:
*Ensuring the works are constructed according to the design and specifications
*Ability to set out to high degree using GPS and Total Station
*Ensure Health and Safety compliance
*Monitoring and management of the nominated subcontractors
*Quality control in accordance to the specifications
*Compiling of Method Statements
*Produce accurate daily diaries
*Permit clearances, daily records
Requirements;
Full Drivers Licence
CSCS card.
-HNC/D or Degree in Civil Engineering
