An established civil engineering contractor who have been operating for over 50 years are searching for a Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
They are well-known for operational throughout the home counties within the Highways, Bridges, Environmental and Utilities sector on schemes up to £20m.
Due to a number of new contracts being awarded over the last three months, they have an opening for a Site Engineer to join their team covering the Suffolk area on projects which will include S278/38, deep drainage and associated infrastructure works.
This is an opportunity to join a business who take pride in developing and retaining their staff to a high standard with many of their senior management having begun their careers within the business on the tools or as Engineers and have been put through the relevant training.
Within this role you would be responsible for, but not limited to, any of the following;
Role:
- General setting out on site
- Carrying out of quality control
- Meeting deadlines
- Working in close liaison with management to ensure site progressing in accordance to planning
- Answering technical queries when needed
- Providing a detailed technical input
- Ensuring a safe working practice
Skills:
- Previously worked as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer
- Experience of working on Roads and Highways schemes
- 3 years' or above experience in setting out experience
- Hold a valid CSCS card.
- BSc or BEng level qualification or above in Civil Engineering
