CarmichaelUK are looking for a Site Engineer to work with one of our key clients on public realm works in Crawley. The job is in its fairly early stages however the team only has a couple of graduate engineers on board and is in need of someone with extra experience to oversee their work and lead the engineering effort. Works are fairly straightforward, including aspects such as putting out pins, digging to formation, kerbs, paving and some drainage. We are looking for someone to start ASAP and come on board for a minimum of 3 months, possibly extending into the new year depending on progress.
You will be responsible for:
- Setting out
- Quality checks
- Subcontractor management
- Reading and interpreting drawings
- Subcontractor management
- Task briefings
- Providing technical support to the site team
We are looking for someone who has:
- An HNC or higher in civil engineering or related subject
- CSCS card
- Main contractor experience
- Groundworks experience
