We are recruiting for an amazing opportunity for a committed and dedicated Site Engineer for one of the most exciting infrastructure projects in the UK. Hinkley Point C will be the first nuclear energy plant built in the UK for over 30 years and you could be part of the team which delivers this innovative energy project. This Role will be inside IR35

The works involved which you will be working on will include earthworks, civil & structural engineering works, and new road construction. You will be joining a highly skilled project team in which you will learn new skills and utilise your existing engineering abilities. 

The project is being managed by two top-tier contractors who are working in partnership so this is a prime opportunity for you to work with two established international companies who span multiple sectors including rail, power, water, building, and natural resources. Not only are they working on this prestigious project but also have a number of projects throughout the UK which will also give you scope for progression.

For this position, your key responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Assist the Section engineer and Sub Agent for all sections of the works
  • Amending and writing method statements and risk assessments 
  • Carrying out quality inspections 
  • Produce ITPs and as-builts 
  • Planning weekly and monthly programmes 

As this is for a long-term contract, we are open to hearing from any suitable candidates from the UK and Ireland. This will be a PAYE role 

 

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Degree, Bachelors, MSc or HND in Civil Engineering
  • Experience of working in a main contractor environment
  • Experience in earthworks or RC frameworks 
  • Hold a valid CSCS certification
  • Have worked in a similar role before
