Site Engineer


Key Tasks

On-site management of projects covering the technical, administration and commercial aspects of the project.

• Prepare budgets to ensure that the job will return sufficient money and to ensure that there has been no shortfalls within the estimate.

• Programming of works.

• Prepare job specific method statements/contract plans.

• Liaise with plant yard to organise plant requirements and date required.

• Liaise with purchasing on ordering materials for the various sites.

• Liaise with clients keeping them up to date on site works and any changes in costs/extension of time/extra work.

• Ensure that works are carried out safely and in accordance with the requirements.

• Monitoring and reporting on progress of the works. • Checking of weekly costs and management of project budgets.

• Assist commercial team with respect of final accounts and weekly values. Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications Required:

• Civil Engineering related degree, preferably with some geotechnical content.

• Knowledge of basic engineering techniques (including setting out)

• Experience within civil engineering or construction field.

• Experience within the Piling and Foundations sector would be an advantage.
