A long-term, freelance opportunity exists for a competent, stand-alone Site Engineer with extensive hands-on setting out of civils on rail projects experience (drainage, troughing, platform extension, bridge installations etc). Your confidence in the ability to make sound construction decisions is sought after.
This post falls inside IR35. Rates advertised are negotiable and based on experience.
Duties will include –
- Accurate setting out of the works under high pressure situations
- Interpreting the drawings and ensuring construction is to the specifications.
- Ensuring Quality as well as H&S standards are achieved.
- Produce records, asbuilts and maintain a daily dairy.
- Ensure WPP and TBs are adhered to.
Requirements for this post include –
- Civil Engineering or surveying related qualification
- Extensive setting out experience on civils projects
- Recent continuous experience within the rail sector
- Excellent construction methodology knowledge and experience
- Be familiar with the Network Rail procedure
- Valid PTS, CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid
