Carmichaels are seeking a Site Engineer with good technical knowledge on infrastructure projects to work on HS2 in Birmingham.
The Scope of work includes:
- Pilling Works
- Structural Temporary Works (Pilling Platforms, Precast Elements (Lifting Operations), Scaffold, Formwork, Rebar Stability, etc.)
- Design checks and verification (including Reinforcement Drawings and Bar Bending Schedule checks, Concrete Outline verifications, compliance with SCEW (Specifications similar to the SHW – specifications for highways works)
- Temporary Works support and checks
- Heavy Concrete Works
- Lifting Operations (Beams and Parapets)
- Precast Elements Installation
- Other Structural Activities such as Deck Waterproofing, Structural Drainage, etc.
Who we're looking for:
The following personal qualities and experience are required:
- Degree level qualification in a Civil Engineering allied subject or HND in Civil Engineering
- Site experience in Civil Engineering
- Experience of drainage, traffic management, structures, highways and earthworks
- Relevant CSCS Card;
- Willingness to work as part of a team, to gain knowledge and experience from colleagues and supervisors and to accept challenges.
