Carmichael UK is currently seeking a highly skilled Civils Site Engineer to join a tier 1 contractor on the A30 project in Cornwall.
Job Description: As a Site Engineer, you will be involved in the dual carriageway widening works on the A30. This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact on Cornwall's transportation network. We are seeking candidates with highways expertise to ensure the successful execution of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth progress
- Setting out when required
- Conduct surveys and assessments to support accurate planning and execution
- Ensure adherence to quality control measures and project specifications
- Collaborate with subcontractors and manage their performance
- Address technical challenges and provide effective solutions
- Maintain clear communication with the project team and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress and adjust strategies as necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer in highways
- Strong setting out knowledge
- Proficient in industry-standard software and tools
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, methods, and regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Valid CSCS card
