Our client a Civil Engineering and Bulk Earthworks Contractor requires a Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
They need to be proficient in LSS and machine control. Build earthworks models and conduct progress surveys using GPS.
They will also need to be fully conversant with using a total station.
Day to day duties include:

Management and co-ordination of testing on site in accordance with the Test and Inspection Plan

Writing RAMS were required

Progress surveys

Volume Calculations

Management of construction information from the client at the start of a project and throughout the life cycle of the project.

Agreement of surveys with the Client engineers as to the extent of the works, soft spot records and volumes moved/not moved/ extent of borrow pits etc.

Base station set up and checking of base station

Import of machine control GPS in the relevant items of plant on site

Co-ordination with the site managers in terms of progress surveying, testing in accordance with the ITP

Provision of basic setting out/information to allow the Site Managers to work effectively

Produce testing grids
-
Co-ordinate test results on testing grids
