A full-time opportunity exists for a Civil Engineer (BSc/HND) with 1-2 years post-graduation experience to join a tier one professional civil engineering contractor dedicated to developing your career.
Your setting out capability coupled with a willing attitude in delivering general civils like earthworks, drainage, concrete, piling etc for a UK civils contractor, would put you in pole position for this opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Manage materials, equipment, and labour within budget and resources, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Communicate systems, design information, procedures, and quality standards effectively.
- Support project delivery teams by verifying work, providing technical assistance, and setting out.
- Lead or assist in project assurance through audits and regular meetings with project teams.
- Identify best practices, areas for improvement, and concerns related to safety, finance, or quality.
- Produce and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Conduct short-term planning.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency in surveying and setting out.
- Proven track record of successfully managing your section of works, including subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering and construction.
- Valid CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid certifications.
