Job Title: Site Engineer

Location: North Portal 
Start Date: 19th May 2025

We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our team for the upcoming project at the North Portal on the Align section. The role involves overseeing and ensuring the successful completion of the visit 2-5 works, with a focus on earthworks, utilities, quality assurance, and efficient site operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Earthworks & Utility Management: Oversee and manage the execution of earthworks and utility installations, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Model Creation & Upload in Site Plant: Responsible for creating and uploading models into the Site Plant system for machine control. (Training can be provided if needed.)
  • AutoCAD Drawings: Utilize AutoCAD to generate and modify site drawings, ensuring that all changes are accurately reflected and up-to-date.
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that all works adhere to project quality standards and specifications. Address any non-conformance issues as required.
  • Material Ordering & Take-offs: Accurately perform material take-offs and manage the ordering of necessary materials for the site, ensuring timely delivery to meet project timelines.
  • Daily Diaries & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive daily diaries documenting site activities, progress, materials used, and any issues or changes encountered during the day.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience in earthworks and utility projects, ideally within the civil engineering sector.
  • Knowledge of Machine Control systems and ability to create and upload models (training available if required).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to work with detailed technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) processes and ability to manage site quality standards.
  • Experience in ordering materials and performing take-offs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain detailed, accurate daily diaries.
