Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to support highways works with a Tier 1 contractor in Lincolnshire, working on a delivery-focused scheme involving kerbing, surfacing, and drainage (gullies).
This role would suit an engineer with solid highways experience who is comfortable working closely with site teams to ensure works are delivered safely, accurately, and to specification.
The Role
As Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Setting out and overseeing highways works including kerbs, surfacing, and gully installation

Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards

Carrying out QA checks and maintaining site records

Supporting the management of subcontractors and site operatives

Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements

Assisting with as-built records and handover documentation
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have:

Previous experience as a Site Engineer within highways or civil engineering

Hands-on experience delivering kerbing, surfacing, and drainage works

A good understanding of highways specifications and standards

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively on live sites

A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent
