Site Engineer – Highways (Structures & Concrete Repairs)
Location: Southampton
We are currently seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a leading contractor delivering key highways infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on structures and concrete repair works.
This is an excellent opportunity to be part of major projects involving bridges, retaining structures, and structural refurbishments across the highways network.
The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of structural and concrete repair packages, ensuring works are carried out safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting out for structures and concrete repair works
- Managing and overseeing day-to-day site operations
- Ensuring quality control and compliance with design specifications
- Working closely with site management, subcontractors, and design teams
- Producing and maintaining site records, RAMS, and QA documentation
- Supporting the delivery of works in line with programme and budget
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways projects
- Strong background in structures and/or concrete repairs
- Competent in setting out using GPS/Total Station (Leica/Trimble preferred)
- Experience working with Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractors
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or similar
