We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with structures and highways experience to join a major HS2 infrastructure project based in Southam.

This role will involve supporting the delivery of multi-disciplinary civil engineering works, with a strong focus on reinforced concrete structures, highways, and associated infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with programme and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out setting out and surveying activities using GPS and total station to ensure accurate construction delivery
  • Support delivery of structures and highways works, including RC structures, drainage, roadworks, and earthworks packages
  • Interpret and implement design drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, ITPs, and quality standards
  • Assist with the preparation and completion of quality assurance documentation, including as-built records, check sheets, and test records
  • Carry out site inspections and quality checks, identifying and resolving any defects or non-conformances
  • Liaise with subcontractors, supervisors, and management to ensure work is delivered to programme and
  • Support the production of RAMS, permits, and engineering documentation
  • Raise and manage technical queries (RFIs) and assist in resolving design issues
  • Maintain site diaries, reports, and progress records
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and HS2 project standards

Requirements

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrable experience in both:
    • Structures (RC, bridges, culverts, concrete works)
    • Highways (drainage, pavements, kerbing, earthworks)
  • Strong experience with:
    • Setting out and surveying equipment (GPS, total station)
    • QA/QC processes and ITP documentation
    • Subcontractor coordination and site supervision
  • Knowledge of construction sequencing and methodologies
  • Valid CSCS card (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
