Site Engineer - Reservoir Project - Drone Experience - East Midlands - Contract

Site Engineer with a valid Drone Pilot Licence currently required to join a major civil engineering contractor delivering works on a significant reservoir infrastructure project in the East Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Site Engineer who can combine traditional engineering and surveying duties with modern drone technology to support project delivery, progress monitoring and site inspections.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the accurate setting out and delivery of civil engineering works whilst utilising drone technology to assist with site surveys, progress capture and digital reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Setting out earthworks, drainage, concrete and infrastructure works
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records
- Carrying out quality control inspections and ensuring works meet specification
- Managing as-built surveys and engineering documentation
- Producing and reviewing ITPs, check sheets and QA records
- Supporting subcontractors and site management teams
- Monitoring progress against programme requirements
- Undertaking drone surveys and aerial inspections
- Processing and interpreting drone data for project reporting
- Assisting with volume calculations, topographical surveys and progress tracking
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements
Requirements
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Experience delivering earthworks, drainage, reinforced concrete or water infrastructure schemes
- Valid drone qualification/licence (CAA GVC, A2 CofC or equivalent)
- Experience operating UAVs/drones for surveying and construction monitoring
- Competent using GPS, Total Stations and surveying equipment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience completing as-built surveys and associated documentation
- CSCS Card
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Reservoir, dam, water treatment or environmental project experience
- Knowledge of drone mapping and photogrammetry software
- AutoCAD experience
- Temporary Works awareness
- First Aid qualification
