A well-established infrastructure specialist are searching for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis which covers the HS2 enabling works package.
They have been awarded various packages of work with a focus on utility and highway diversion, this will entail heavy earthworks, drainage, traffic management and roadworks.
This would be an excellent challenge for an experienced Site Engineer that possesses strong enabling works experience and is keen to get involved on one of the most prestigious infrastructure projects in the UK.
Some of your duties will include:
- Liaise with client representatives and designers over design issues
- Assisting the site management team in managing sections of works
- Setting out throughout site
- Ensuring equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with government policies
- Liaising regularly with section engineer and setting out engineers
- Ensuring environmental disturbance is kept to a minimum
- Ensuring safe working practises are taking place
About you:
- Degree in civil engineering
- Strong knowledge of highways, earthworks and utilities diversions/drainage
- Setting out experience
- CSCS card
