Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Site Engineer with strong earthworks experience to join a major HS2 project in Buckinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, delivering large-scale earthworks packages within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Setting out and surveying for earthworks activities
- Managing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- Producing and maintaining accurate site records
- Carrying out quality assurance checks and ensuring works are completed to specification
- Preparing RAMS, ITPs and as-built documentation
- Coordinating subcontractors and site teams
- Monitoring progress and reporting to the Section Engineer/Senior Engineer
- Ensuring works are delivered safely and in line with project standards
- Supporting programme delivery and resolving technical issues on site
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong earthworks experience is essential
- Experience of working on large-scale projects such as highways, rail or major infrastructure schemes
- Proficient in setting out using Leica and/or Trimble equipment
- Good understanding of QA procedures and as-built documentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Valid CSCS card
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- HS2 experience would be advantageous but is not essential
