The Successful Site Engineer will have the following:

Experience of setting out and controlling of site operations
-
Experience is preferably in roadworks, with kerb and drainage experience.

Be able to lead Junior Engineers with setting out.
Duties:
-
In conjunction with Surveyors, ensure all setting out is present and correct before work starts
-
Ensure all RAMS are in place and suitable prior to works commencing and being followed as works are undertaken

In conjunction with the discipline Supervisor, ensure that plant, labour and materials for each item of work are identified and available in good time

Review the drawings and specification to identify errors and omissions and bring these to the attention of the project team via TQ’s

Be fully conversant with supply chain contract conditions

Maintain program and identify opportunities. Record resources and monitor outputs against program
Knowledge, skills and experience:
Degree, or equivalent high level qualification, or significant experience in highways.
Demonstrable knowledge of national guidance, legislation and regulations relating to design and implementation of highway schemes. In particular, expertise in the Highway Act 1980
Knowledge of a wide range of relevant engineering or service techniques and procedures.
Appropriate knowledge and application of Health and Safety legislation.
Ability to prioritise own work to support business priorities
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key people both internally and externally.
Dealing with members of the public.
Demonstrable awareness of environmental aspects and impacts and waste management.
Conversant with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills (including report writing).
Required to be mobile throughout an operational area.
To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be directed or implied from time to time commensurate to the post and/or organisational requirements.
