Freelance, outside of IR35, opportunities exists for highway Site Engineers in Manchester. Previous smart motorways experience is sought after.
Duties will include -
- Setting out on-site of drainage / earthworks / roadworks / ducting / site clearance / fencing / structures etc.
- Complete a daily diary accurately and comprehensively.
- Complete check sheet’s for quality standards, in accordance with ITP’s
- Assist or undertake safety inspections and workplace inspections
- Raise & issue permits
- Undertake CAT & Genny surveys prior to excavation.
- Attend site meetings in relation to programme / safety / working areas
- Good communication skills with team / sub-contractors / general public / Client
- Be able to undertake site survey and produce sketches of survey work / construction sequences
Requirements for this opportunity include -
- Extensive setting out experience on highways projects
- A civil engineering/surveying qualification or similar
- CSCS, SSSTS or SMSTS, CAT & Genny trained
- Safety Critical Medical and first aid
- AutoCAD (optional)
