An opportunity exists for an experienced highways /smart motorway Site Engineer to oversee SI/GI/surveying subcontractors on a smart motorway project. Previous extensive highways/smart motorways experience is essential.
Duties will include –
- Overseeing SI/GI/survey subcontractors
- Issuing permits to dig
- Setting out when required
- Planning and coordinating the works
- Managing traffic
- Manage health and safety
Requirements for this project include –
- Knowledge of the highway codes and procedures
- Extensive experience on highway/smart motorways projects for a tier one principal contractor
- Preferably a civil engineering degree
- Extensive highways site engineering experience including setting out, permits to dig, QA and subcontractor management.
- Competent in the usage of CAT & Genny equipment advantageous
- Available to work shifts and unsociable hours
