Our client has just been awarded a significant Contract by Somerset County Council for the construction of a new relief road through an industrial area at Bridgwater.
They require a Site Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.
Outline scope of works includes;
- 1km new build carriageway
- Major Structures: 52m single span steel concrete bridge over the River Parrott, 22m single span concrete beam bridge over the Bridgwater Canal,
- Other structures include; insitu bored piling, load transfer platforms, retaining walls, reinforced concrete works, lightweight carriageway embankments formed with polystyrene,
- Drainage, Utilities, Street lighting, Landscaping & Accommodation works
Significant elements of the scheme are Contractor Design Elements.
Scheme Value £14m, duration 78 weeks, start April 2018, finish October 2019.
