Im currently recruiting for a major Tunneling project based at Hinkley Point C. We have exciting opportunities for site engineers with tunnelling experience to join this team.
As part of this team, you will manage and drive the engineering aspects of works, reviewing designs and aiding with the development and reporting of section programs and budgets, and ensuring that the works are conducted in accordance with the project requirements including health and safety.
The role will include but not limited to:
• Support the Sub Agent(s) in planning and setting up the tunnels for construction.
• Support the Construction Manager and Sub Agent with the planning of the Tunnels and ventilation shafts.
• Assist the Sub-Agent(s) in managing the construction engineering team for delivery to time, quality, and budget of all detailed technical information necessary for the construction of the shafts and tunnels.
• Work with the other Engineers to ensure their work is up to the required standard.
• Manage and drive the engineering aspects of works, developing and reporting of section programmes and budgets and ensuring that the works are conducted in accordance with the project requirements including health and safety.
Required qualifications:
• CSCS card
• Engineering Degree / HNC or similar in a construction discipline.
• IOSH or SMSTS desired, SSSTS minimum.
• Tunnel Safety Training Scheme (TSTS).
• Experience with tunnel construction techniques - as a guideline 2 years minimum desired.
