A great opportunity exists for Site Engineers on a Smart Motorway project on the outskirts of Manchester.
Experience in managing and setting out of deep drainage, earthworks, water channels, gantry foundations, slipforming and surfacing on major roads/Smart Motorway projects is sought after.
IR35 assessments will be carried out to confirm the SDS prior to engagement.
Duties for this position include -
- Setting out on-site by various methods (GPS / EDM / Total Station, etc.) for all aspects of work whether drainage / earthworks / roadworks / ducting / site clearance / fencing / structures etc.
- Work as part of a team and assist all team members to achieve set targets
- Complete a daily diary of works being undertaken comprehensively and accurately
- Complete check sheets for quality standards, in accordance with ITP’s
- Ensure safety is adhered to at all times
- Obtain permits as required
- Undertake CAT & Genny surveys prior to excavation works commencing.
- Attend site meetings in relation to programme / safety / working areas
- Manage the delivery of the works by ensuring good team moral
Requirements for this position:
- Competent in setting out of roads, drainage and structures
- Proven site management, motivation and communication skills
- A Civil Engineering or similar qualification
- CSCS, SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid certification
- CAT & Genny trained
- Safety Critical Medical, can be obtained prior to appointment
- AutoCAD
