An established civils contractor are looking to add a Site Manager to join their team
Having been established for close to 50 years', they undertake a variety of work including Highways Maintenance, 278 works and area frameworks.
The requirement for the Site Manager is to be based in Birmingham on Area 9 which is an area framework
The section of works that this contractor are covering includes Earthworks, Drainage, Kerbing, 278 works and installation of traffic lights and is expected to last well into 2021.
The overall aim of your position is to work closely with Site Manager to ensure that all site activity is progressing according to plan.
Some of your responsibilities:
- Notify the projects/contracts managers of any defects, mistakes or errors
- Monitor all work against specification
- Ensure H&S is prioritised
- Deliver tool box talks
- Ensure all applicable quality check lists are completed
- Make yourself available as a coach and mentor to direct reports in order to allow them to develop professionally
Qualifications and skills required
- NVQ or NVQ Level 4 Site Supervision
- CSCS
- First Aid
- SMSTS
