Site Manager - Highways

An exciting opportunity has come up for a Site Manager to work across a number of highways packages in South West England.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and drive SHE performance on site, ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensure, monitor and co-ordinate management of Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
  • Ensure everyone understands the project objectives, clients needs and are working to them.
  • Manage direct reports and site teams, reviewing their performance, duties and support their development.
  • Ensure that all engineering, measurement, sub-contract works are undertaken in accordance with the conditions and requirements of the contract.
  • Work closely with PM team and design teams to ensure buildability and timely delivery of design outputs.
  • Play a key role in driving value engineering on the project.
  • Control costs against budget and forecast
  • Manage risks and opportunities by regular input into project risk register, ensuring mitigation and action plans are being worked to, updated and communicated.
  • Play a key role in the management and communication of change control

Requirements :

·         Must have experience of temp works, lift plans and be proficient in Microsoft programming

·         Have worked in the highways industry (Civil Engineering)

·         Key qualifications and Accreditations: CSCS Gold card, NVQ 3 or 4, First Aid, Manual Handling, SSSTS. SMSTS/SEATS (desirable)
