An opportunity exists for a PTS Construction Manager/Site Manager with solid site management experience on a rail project in Sheffield. Experience in the management of soil nailing and /or piling on Network rail projects is sought after.
Duties will include –
• Daily toolbox talks
• Daily and weekly planning
• Resource planning including materials and equipment
• Managing of in-house teams and sub-contractors
• Compiling work package plans and method statements
• Site administration including client reports, site diary, ITPs and timesheets
• Ensuring all permits are in place
• Attend Principal Contractor meeting
• Management of the works and solving of technical issues
• Foresee and report possible problems
• Managing health and safety including the reporting thereof
Requirements for this post include -
• A construction or civil engineering qualification
• Previous recent experience as a Site/Construction Manger on rail projects for Network rail
• Previous management of soil nailing or piling is advantageous
• Experience in managing teams and subcontractors simultaneously
• A quick-thinking problem solver who is commercially aware
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Valid PTS, SMSTS and First Aid
